What causes herpes?
Herpes is basically caused by two types of viruses. These viruses are known as the herpes simplex virus 1 and the herpes simplex virus 2.
Physical contact with an infected person is primarily the cause of herpes. Sexual intercourse causes genital herpes. If you have sex with an infected person, then there is a great chance that you will also get infected. Oral herpes is also very common among all types of people. Children usually experience oral herpes by having an infected finger then sucking on it.
Scrumpox, which is another type of herpes, is common among people who are into close contact sport, such as rugby. Players here are regularly in close contact with each other especially during the scrum. This is why this is called scrumpox. It is also called herpes rugbiorum.

What are the herpes in mouth symptoms?
The herpes simplex virus can cause infections that can affect the mouth and the face. A lot of people acquire the virus but shows no signs and symptoms but there are some people who do get oral herpes symptoms that are visible to the naked eye. Also known as cold sores, oral herpes are contagious and you have to know the symptoms in order for you to become more responsible.
In most cases, blisters will often be seen in and around the mouth as well as the face. These blisters are painful and are filled with liquid that is full of the herpes simplex virus. During the outbreak, you will experience fever, muscle aches, irritability, and tiredness. Burning sensation on the affected area will also be felt and clusters of blisters could soon appear. |
