is Herpes?
Herpes is a viral
disease that is caused by the herpes simplex viruses. There are two
types
of viruses that cause herpes, these are the herpes simplex
virus 1 or the HSV-1 and the herpes simplex virus 2 or the HSV-2.
The herpes simplex virus can
be classified into 2 different types. One is the oral herpes which is
commonly called cold sores. This kind of herpes infects the face and
the mouth in general.
The oral herpes is the most common form of infection. However, herpes
also infect the genitals. These are commonly known as genital herpes
and is the second most common type of herpes infection.
Other infections caused by the herpes simplex virus are neonatal
herpes, ocular herpes, cerebral herpes, Mollaret’s meningitis, and even
possibly Bell’s palsy.

What are the herpes in mouth symptoms?
The herpes simplex virus can cause infections that can affect the mouth and the face. A lot of people acquire the virus but shows no signs and symptoms but there are some people who do get oral herpes symptoms that are visible to the naked eye. Also known as cold sores, oral herpes are contagious and you have to know the symptoms in order for you to become more responsible.
In most cases, blisters will often be seen in and around the mouth as well as the face. These blisters are painful and are filled with liquid that is full of the herpes simplex virus. During the outbreak, you will experience fever, muscle aches, irritability, and tiredness. Burning sensation on the affected area will also be felt and clusters of blisters could soon appear. |
